Bad news?

Today was my follicle check ultrasound for cycle 4 of Femera and they were all under 10mm which means the medication has stopped working. Also the cysts on both of my ovaries seem to be getting a little larger and perhaps prohibiting normal ovulation. According to the doc, even though they were able to see a good follicle on each ovary for the last two months that does not necessarily mean that they completely matured and released a good egg. So...

We are being sent to an RE for an injectables with IUI consult. We will now be having (God willing) what my father lovingly calls a "turkey baster baby." How ironic considering the up-coming holiday...lol. It does make me sad that we will not be able to make another baby the natural way, but at this point how it happens is not really that important.

I actually kind of feel like this gives us a little more control over the situation. We will probably meet with the RE sometime in Dec/Jan and discuss starting this process for my Feb/March cycle. With the holidays, a trip to Vegas in February and an inevitable back surgery looming we feel it is best for both of us mentally and physically to wait. Although nothing is a sure thing at least now I feel like we have a true plan of attack, and like I said God willing it will only take one try.
